Since Trump will return the children, God will remove him to reunite the children. This is no small matter. "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matthew 18:6). One may choose to argue over the context, so be it. What I am most certain is that "...children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward". For this, God will act. Beware, America! CM

Children are escorted to the Cayuga Center, which provides foster care and other services to immigrant children separated from their families, in New York City on July 10, 2018.

Trump admin wants ability to hold migrant kids indefinitely, upending decades-old ban

Since 1997, authorities have been barred from holding migrant kids more than 20 days, but a new rule would change that. -- by Julia Ainsley / Sep.06.2018 / 10:09 AM ET

God, is there a limit to America's hatred toward these children? CM

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration announced a new rule Thursday that would allow immigrant children with their parents to be held in detention indefinitely, upending a ban on indefinite detention that has been in place for 20 years.

The rule, proposed by the departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services, goes into effect in 60 days and will allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to keep children with their mothers in detention facilities while their cases for asylum play out in court.

A DHS official said the average length of stay for adults with pending court cases is currently 39 days. However, court backlogs can drag out the time an immigrant must wait in detention for a court hearing.

Until now, children have been released with their parents after 20 days. Earlier this year, the Trump administration sought to get around that rule by separating parents from their children and holding parents in detention while children were placed in the care of HHS.

HELP! HELP! HELP! :'( HELP! HELP! HELP! :'( HELP! HELP! HELP!

Imprisoning children with or without their parents are destructive to their overall health, social, and mental development. "To hold migrant kids indefinitely" is equivalent to a death sentence. Children don't commit crimes. If such could be proven, a life sentence is "cruel and unusual punishment". What society will they be fit to live in? God must take America in-hand or remove this man (Trump/his minions) in leading the country.

Where are the voices of the compassionate, Christians and people of goodwill? What about CD Users? A word, a prayer, why can't the children hear? Would you be silent if your child were in this situation? God, deliver your children! CM

Again, if their parents didn't break the law, this wouldn't happen. Actions have consequences and their parents made bad actions. Their fault.

Having traveled through 17 (?) countries in the last 2 years, I can say fervently, that there is no country I have encountered with a heart as great as America! Yes, there are some people who have lost their hearts and lack vision enough to see a heart to find, but America's heart is big enough to be a refuge for them too.

Wow, just came across interesting Gallup poll stats. 13% of people who are interested in protesting (most don't actually do so) are motivated by gun control. 8% because of Trump.

Why is it that America can't seem to love "Brown" children and non-Christians? CM

Search your own heart for your own reasons, because America as a nation certainly does so vastly more than any other nation on earth. With a little less talk and a lot more action you too could join those ranks.

What about Joe Arpaio? Why is Joe Arpaio, the former Arizona sheriff pardoned by Trump, in Eastern Kentucky?

Approximately 20,000 pardons and commutations were issued by U.S. presidents in the 20th-century alone.

Before using Joe Arpaio as a poster case for your point, you should probably do some research on the matter.

Again, we do not pardon all criminals and they don't pardon for no reason. Rarely, if ever, do people get pardoned who maliciously break the law such as the illegal aliens.

Exactly. We release them into safe custody of the state until we can determine that they have a safe REAL home to which they can return. All too often that has proven untrue. Every one of their alleged parents is a criminal actively involved in illegal activity--some quite horrific such as child trafficking and drug running.

    1. "About 750 people attended the event at Anaheim Convention Center, where Obama delivered a short speech centered on unity and the “politics of hope.”
