Your daughter is very observant and has a heart. You and your daughter are able to discern what so many can't or failed to see, in plain daylight. I am inclined to agree with you. Strange, huh?

I am not collecting points by who agrees with me or not ... but I appreciate if someone does agree.

Your daughter is right and so are you. I am sorry she has to see the dark side of, "Making America Great...", the robber barons. The rich and big corporations are America's biggest welfare recipients. They muggers in three-piece suits with tax-cuts on the backs of the poor.

I am not so sure if those responsible for the decline of the USA over the last several decades are actually interested in "Making America Great" ... actually, they seem to be the ones who have instigated and are carrying on a war against the president who was at least speaking about "Making America great", whereas they seem rather interested in making themselves great world global hegemons, and that even at the demise of the country where many of them live ....

    @Wolfgang said:
The economy may perhaps be slowly recovering from several decades of turbo capitalism and driving the USA economy against the wall and into the deep ditch by regimes and bankster gangsters exploiting the American people at large and turning them into slaves in such a brainwashing manner that the people think they are still free and doing great, when more and more sectors of the population are drowning ... and - in typical capitalist (false liberty ideology) manner - the few who are (still) doing well, are blaming the many for "just not doing the right thing and therefore becoming poorer and losing everything including their livelihood. ..

You make so much sense in your analysis of the US Economy. It's a far cry than the hypocritical, selfish, nonsensical, self-imposed blindness, shameful propaganda-viewed thus far- in response to your posts. America's shame is absorbed into her greed. When poked, she oozes out sludge of hatred and condemnation upon the poor. At the same time, she pollutes the air and the airwaves with the miasma of lies, misrepresentations, and tribal talking points. Thank you for highlighting a slice of American reality that the greedmeisters don't want people to see! CM

    I appreciate your comment, C-M.

    PS. Wolfgang,
"I respect your political analysis of the interplay between Russia and other states." Suprised?

I am not surprised ... but then I may have a light advantage over many posters here since I am living "outside the USA box", although inside its vassal Germany with the same mainstream media propaganda lies being propagated.

I am following my late grandma's advice to me when I was 12-13 years old of "when there are two or more sides to a story, make sure you read or hear both or all of them before drawing conclusions ... I wonder how many USA patriotic citizens are reading Russian Media (which some do have English speaking publications) to have a look at what these report and say and incorporate that information in their conclusions, rather than condemning them beforehand as false information?

  • C_M,
there are some American voices that still have a different view on the state of affairs in the USA that is not more or less blindly following the mainstream media propaganda of the Anglo/Zionist empire that has brainwashed large contingents of the public ... have a look at the following article by P.C. Roberts (not liked by several folks on CD):

Is There Enough of America Left To Be Saved?

While the author's thoughts and arguments make sense to some or maybe even many, there will also be the ones who dismiss him entirely, because they don't see "sources" and "scientific" proof for what he writes ....

According to the New York Post, citing a Willis Towers Watson Data Services study, workers’ “salaries are about to break out of a decade-long slump.”

Everyone (except maybe a handful) is feeling confident in the economy under the excellent leadership of President Donald Trump. After years of stagnation from badly handled government, we are seeing wages rise across the board. That means more money and a better life for everyone. The mood of business owners and workers is upbeat.

Did Trump hire a criminal to work in his administration? I'm shocked! SHOCKED, I tell you! The rich appear to be above the law. when caught pay only fines. others go to jail.

    GaoLu,
Is it too mature for you to say, I disagree with your point of view on the subject matter? Why as a supposedly stable, mental, social, financially secure person, do you respond the way you do? Other than, "because I can", do you have an impairment rendering you incapable of mature and respectful responses? Or is this, an outward manifestation of an internal hateful-bitterness? In short, are you having a bad day or you're being your natural self?

You seem to go around the forums as a roaring lion, seeking whom you may devour. People are going to disagree with you. Welcome to the real world. You're not required to respond to every comment posted. In the event you feel some internal compulsion, reach outside of yourself and be kind to the silent readers.

Jan worked hard to reboot, restart or resurrect CD, let's shows some respect and appreciation for his efforts and give others a chance to share in these opened forums. Let go beyond the schoolyard mentality and foolishness in responding. Is this too much to ask? CM

    GaoLu,
Is it too mature for you to say, I disagree with your point of view on the subject matter?

Shouldn't be too mature. Usually, that approach is best.

Why as a supposedly stable, mental, social, financially secure person, do you respond the way you do?

Perhaps in error. Perhaps not. I hope to reach people by speaking the language they use and understand. Sometimes that works. In your case, it seems to work best even though it seems to disturb you as well. All of those areas above are areas you address frequently with uncertainty. We want to be sensitive to that and I truly believe there are several people here who would very sincerely help and are able to do so.

Other than, "because I can", do you have an impairment rendering you incapable of mature and respectful responses?

No impairments that I can think of. Rather the skill of mirroring. I shall always try to improve.

Or is this, an outward manifestation of an internal hateful-bitterness?

    Prolly not.

In short, are you having a bad day or you're being your natural self?

    It's a great day. Myself.

You seem to go around the forums as a roaring lion, seeking whom you may devour.

Sometimes I call you on bullying and plain old-fashioned stupidity in trolling. Call that what you will. No doubt that upsets your apple cart. Mostly I won't bother with you that way, but recently I have. Maybe I am guilty of deliberately poking you with a stick to watch you snarl, and then snickering. Shame on me if I have done that.

People are going to disagree with you.

Diversity of ideas is enlightening. Showers of foolishness masquerading as godly wisdom could be deceiving.

Welcome to the real world. You're not required to respond to every comment posted.

    Nor are you.

In the event you feel some internal compulsion, reach outside of yourself and be kind to the silent readers.

Occasionally pointing out purveyors of falsehood and incompetence is one of those gifts.

Jan worked hard to reboot, restart or resurrect CD, let's shows some respect and appreciation for his efforts and give others a chance to share in these opened forums.

For which I am grateful. If the trolls had not taken over, this place could flourish.

You might find interesting, that I have never remotely encountered the issues we have here on other forums where I have participated.

Oops. I take that back. There was one a few years ago. A person there was trolling (much the same way as is done here) and using multiple aliases--even arguing with himself and skillfully manipulating multiple personas. He was actually a good Christian whom I sort of knew personally. After he made some slips and what he was doing became obvious (as has happened on this forum and its predecessor) he confessed and left the forums. Unfortunately, the damage was done and that forum soon closed down.

Let go beyond the schoolyard mentality and foolishness in responding. Is this too much to ask? CM

I am addressing a matter different for the apology. You apologize for placing filth in the wrong place. Apology accepted. I am also suggesting that you get your mind out of the gutter altogether. Php 4:8.

Perhaps I misunderstood and you were apologizing for all the other trash as well. If so, then I misunderstood and apologize to you for my wrong assumption and would like to take you out for rootbeer.

Trump support in the GOP is a whopping 90%.

In spite of the lies and hateful histrionics of the left, in spite of the media's best efforts at lies and discrediting and fake news to destroy Trump they have utterly failed. While Obama enjoyed the overwhelming (if strange) rah! rah! cheerleading of the media, Trump's overall approval is still the same as Obama's at this time, and holding. Imagine what the real numbers would be on a level playing field?

Interesting, but in the end, God chose Trump for this job, so it may not matter all that much what the shills do.

    2. America is 19 trillion in debt. We should honestly cut off all foreign aid until we get our finances in order.

Yesterday the president told us that the federal government's response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, which last year killed nearly 3,000 American citizens, was an "incredible, unsung success," and "one of the best jobs that’s ever been done." Given the obviously low bar the president sets for governmental emergency response, there's no doubt that he and his government ARE ready for Florence, and that he will trumpet any death toll produced by it that's less than Maria's to be an "incredible oft-sung success" and "THE best job that's ever been done."

    1. America is 19 trillion in debt. We should honestly cut off all foreign aid until we get our finances in order.

Yesterday we learned that the federal deficit for the eleven month period that ended in August of this year was $895 billion, either 23% or 32% higher than the same period last year (lower percentage increase results from adjusting for the cost-shifting that occurred in the more recent total; see the article). Given your concern that our finances "get... in order," am I correct to infer that you opposed last year's tax cuts and the spending plan to which are ascribed blame for this deficit increase? Income from corporate taxes, whose rate was reduced dramatically by those cuts, declined 30%, or $71 billion, in the period, for example.)
