Guns in the Church: A place of peace or a War Zone?
CD Readers,
Please watch the video. This clip shows how one can stop a shooter in a church. If the Pastor had a gun, things could've turned out badly for many people. Clear-headed thinking and swift actions, not another gun, saves lives. If guns were not so available, so many lives would not have been threatened. Evil intent is a given after the fall and this side of the return of Jesus. Do we have to make guns so available for one to carry out sinister desires? Don't you agree?
Looking ahead, should churches be equipped with metal detectors, cameras, and/or armed guards? CM
PS. Guns are instruments of death. They were made to kill. CM

Churches would be better equipped with prayer.
Clear-headed thinking and swift actions could save lines--of millions of babies, if Christians stop supporting their murder.

This is a given. Don't you think?

Since you're NOT talking about abortions, I agree with you! "Millions of babies" (in mothers' arms) can be saved. Here is a list of some ways:
- Sex education and birth control methods (all safe and legal ones)
- Breastfeeding classes
- WIC
- Proper housing
- Daycare for working mothers
- A family leaves for mothers and fathers without them losing their jobs
- Paid a decent wage or salary
- Licensed, clear, and safe Daycare Centers.
- Affordable baby health care services.
- Strong gun laws with a background check and a registry of gun owners.
- Safe parks and playgrounds/equipment.
- Enforcement of child safety seats, beats, and cars.
- Enforcement of lead paint in old apartment buildings
- enforcement of clear water from water suppliers
- Safe toys (check imports for lead, detachable parts, etc.)
- Limit gun shows, movies, and video games, cartoons, etc.
- Step food companies and labeling
- Take a hard look at the baby formula.
- Encourage the development of educational materials (computer, etc.)
- strictly enforce background checks of workers with children and those on the Sexual Abuse Registry.
- Prevent so many "drive-bys."
- There are more things to save babies
If you were trying to be clever to open up a dialogue to discuss "abortion," good reminders and space have been provided. See my most recent thread on the topic of "abortion," just in case you have forgotten:
You don't have to make swipes. Let's have that conversation. Just a reminder: There are other threads in CD on abortion:

I’m not surprised that you want to disconnect killing with guns from killing unborn babies. Of course you do. And you know good and well I’m talking about abortions. We shouldn’t need to expect such dishonesty from a man like you—but we do.

He who “Live by the gun, die by the gun.” CM

Aye, that is true.
-
Good thing that isn't what Rittenhouse did.
-
I guess his day is coming. I, personally, don't have a desire for his demise, but someone of his mindset would behave like him. We're in a gun-crazed time. Sad CM
-
The damage he has done is almost infinitely less than that of someone who publicly defends mass killing of babies.
-
Of his mindset? You mean someone actively providing medical assistance to others?
-
Whatever you mean... CM

Your statement on its face, you may have a point. CM
