We can surely live without content snippets. I assume the developers of the forum software will make the option available not to use snippets by March 2021.
However, we can't live without upload filter. Since CD is more than a year old, it …

Yeah, I'm aware of the revision. That gives new platforms a grace period of 3 years. The problem is the word AND. All three conditions have to be met. Replace that with OR, and at least only the big corporations would have to deal with this.

forums hosted outside the EU will not care. Logos/Faithlife for example, will not care.
Links without preview snippets will always be fine. The law is only about content snippets. Without legal written permission, none of the EU based sites…

I'll switch to the "classic" style. Let me know what you think.

Okay, I'm able to replicate it. Clearly another bug in the software.
If the screen width is somewhere in the middle between mobile and desktop size, the side navigation disappears.
I'll report that to the support forum too. My last po…
This is very odd. I first thought you somehow enabled the mobile mode, but that's not it. There's part of the screen simply missing, not only the "new discussion" button.
Clearing the cache would be my best idea as well.
And in the me…

Thanks! I would have thought that applying the historical-critical method to the virgin birth would have resulted in rejecting this miracle (due to an alleged "mistranslation" of young maiden as virgin).
The historical-critical method does …

I was surprised to see all the changes after applying the update. We've had several updates before, but this is the first one with such a visible impact. Kudos to the Vanillaforum team.

Thank you @reformed for apologizing publicly. This kind of behaviour is what Christ expects from us, contributes positively, and hopefully sets an example f…
Bill, the connection between changing one's mind and turning from sin is definitely there. One can't change their mind, and continue sinning as if nothing had happened. At a minimum, if someone repents, they come to realize their sin, and have wi…
(Quote)Luke 12:47-48. The unequal punishment proves that the sin of the two servants is unequal.
(Quote)That's very much okay. It's good to revisit old threats like this from time to time.
(Quote)As I said before, the response by Ehud Olmert was an official apology about the incident to the Christians in general, and to the Vatican in particular, proving sufficiently that the "regime" does not agree with the in…
I still fail to see how the "Israeli regime" would be responsible for the misdeeds of one individual.
Is the "French regime" responsible for the Muhammad cartoons in the Charlie Hebdo magazine?
Is the "German regime" responsible f…
I think we've been doing quite okay over the past year. Most threads have been going more or less civilized. True, we've lost some members, but we also gained some.
CD is now regularly mentioned on the Logos forums, almost every time a th…
As offensive as these videos are, I actually like the fact that the whole incident demonstrated that the nation of Israel, as a whole, does care about the religious feelings of us Christians, even as a misguided individual had used an opportunity…
May I remind everyone please to use arguments from the top of the pyramid, and avoid the bottom ones, especially the two lower layers. They reveal more about the person using them than about the topic, and contribute nothing to the discussion.
This is appalling, and I would not recommend that anyone who is easily offended watch these videos.
Now, unless I'm asked to, I'm not going to remove the links. It's important to talk about these things. You will find similar appalling co…
(Quote)Angel is a job description ("messenger"), not a form of being. The message can be delivered by a human, by a heavenly being, or by God. Sometimes it's this, sometimes it's that, sometimes the passage isn't clear, and then it's probably…
(Quote)So your true objection is something like "because Jesus is a human, he can't be God"? How does that fit with multiple occasions in the OT, where God appeared in a body of flesh and blood?
(Quote)So the words "the only true God" (John 17:3) establish the deity of the Father.
But the words:
- Your throne, O God, is forever and ever (Hebrews 1:8)
- “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28)
- Our God and …
(Quote)There are some linguistic aspects here (for which I'm not an expert - in no way… so my arguments here come from experience.)
I don't think that there's a grammatical gender in English. Everything is just "the". The man (male), …
