ChristJeHoVaH & YeHoWaH show JHVH & YHWH (transliterations of יהוה) with Jewish Masoretic vowel markings added centuries after the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Jewish oral law was written down into the Mishnah and Talmud (predates Masoretic vowel marking additions), which document the Holy יהוה divine name being pronounced correctly by Jewish priests in the Jewish Temple, but a disguise (or an epithet, a substitute: e.g. Adonai, Lord, HaShem, The Name) used outside the Jewish Temple. Masoretic scripture disguise: write יהוה letters in the correct order from right to left while adding vowels points in the reverse direction => Jehovah or Iehouah that appeared less than 500 years ago by Tyndale.
@Brother Rando This information counters your own use of the Name. While it's correct that (transliterations of יהוה) (JHVH) For Jehovah and (YHWH) for Yehowah is accurate, you don't use them. A good number of Scholars are in disagreement with the use of Yahweh and suspect this rendering may be inaccurate. Some Scholars favor the reversal of the vowels to read Yehwah as the proper name. This came about to the JEWS misuse of God's Name and therefore tried to disguise its proper spelling.
Jehovah's Witnesses know that there are many different ways of spelling of יהוה in different languages let alone the several differences in the transliteration in the English language. Many are of the same spelling with the letter (e) assigned as the first vowel of the Divine Name.
- Jehovah
- Yehowah
- Iehouah
Just to list a couple. Notice the Jeh - Yeh - Ieh? Do you also notice that the Name of Jehovah's Chief Spokesman, the Word of God also begin in the same manner? Jesus - Je --- Not Jasus or Ja - the same ones whom attack the spellings of God's Name have no issue with using the name of the Messiah written in the same format = Jesus.
Two reasons why Jehovah's Witnesses use the Name Jehovah is preference. The Name Jehovah is the most common pronunciation and the Bibles are filled with Names that are derived from Jehovah. Case in point:
- Jesus when translated means 'Jehovah is Salvation'
A person who claims this Name is not proper to use would also deny to use the following because the following Names give Glory, Praise, and Recognition to God's Personal Name Jehovah.
- Jesus
- Hallelujah
- Elijah
- John
- Matthew
And MANY MORE... So someone who denounce JEHOVAH but uses Names that contains Jehovah within them, do so only to SLANDER the Name Jehovah, not to give Glory, Praise, and Recognition to Jehovah. Such ones are called hypocrites. They only use the names to deceive others to portray themselves as someone they are not.
The most accurate spelling according to Scholars is Yehovah. Yet, there are no names in the Bible that give Glory to the Name. You look in any Bible and you will notice the most common names contain Jesus - Hallelujah - Elijah - John - Matthew - which are names that all contain the precious Name Jehovah in them!

ChristJehovah or Iehouah that appeared less than 500 years ago by Tyndale.
@Brother Rando - Yes, the Old English Language 500 years ago is also called Shakespearian. Words like art - thou - thee -thy were common. Words like Jehovah - Iehovah - Jesus - Hallelujah - Elijah - John - Matthew - became of common transliteration.
- Would one make the claim that Jesus did not exists because Jesus - Hallelujah - Elijah - John - Matthew - appeared less than 500 years ago by Tyndale?
The KJV is a good example of the Shakespearian that came about some 500 years ago. Does that make the Bible Obsolete?
- I think not. If so, then you should stop speaking and writing in English... 😀
“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” (Psalms 83:18 KJV)
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.” (Matthew 6:9 KJV)

ChristOne who is educated in Hebrew grammar can intuit the pronunciation of the Name from such forms of it as “Ehyeh” and “Yah”; even the name of Elijah the prophet will teach one rightly. But this is all secret.
@Brother Rando - Bible Scholars are in agreement with the use of Elijah that Jehovah's Witnesses use. Even your Bible is in agreement with the use of Elijah in both the Hebrew and Greek.
1 Kings 18:8 (LEB) Hebrew
He said to him, "I am. Go, say to your lord, 'Elijah is here.'"
Mark 9:4 (LEB) Greek
And Elijah appeared to them together with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.
- SEE! The LEB is just like you... they omitted Jehovah from Scripture but use Names that have been derived from the Holy and Sacred Name JEHOVAH.
- Hypocrites use the name Jesus and at the same time Slander Jehovah - Jesus when translated means 'Jehovah is Salvation'
- Hypocrites use the name Elijah and at the same time Slander Jehovah - Elijah when translated means 'My God is Jehovah'
Elijah and its meaning.
(E·liʹjah) [My God Is Jehovah]

I understand that Pagans are supposed to have sacred words related to their gods. For example, Muslims are supposed to call their God using a specific Arabic word, "Allah".
After reading some comments on this thread, it seems to me that Jews have to be also very careful about using certain words. I wonder if they too are supposed to have sacred words in their life.
Perhaps I am wrong; I didn't hear Jesus, on the Gospel, telling me to observe any special sacred things or words, including His name which could be written differently in different languages.
I perceived, since I was teen, Jesus (incarnated), my Heavenly Father (not incarnated) and the Holy Spirit in my soul first, before my mind knew them. I am 75.
A human only is given the freedom to oppose or not his robotic nature. But, by opposing it, such a human becomes no more of this world.

Jehovah was NEVER called " I Am", so the reference to John is pointless.

The most talked about scripture in the Bible, where it is claimed where the 'Trinity' is supported!
John 1:1- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Is the Trinity EVER mentioned?
Is that saying that there are 2 Gods? (Aside from Theological Babble)
-
First Clue-
Literal English Translation: In beginning was the Word, and the Word was toward the God, and God was the Word.
-
Second Clue- the Bible identifies the ONLY true God as Jehovah.
-
Third Clue- the book of John itself!
-
"The Word was WITH God
The holy spirit isn't mentioned.
Is One God with ANOTHER God?
Or is it one with the 'spitting image' of God?
-
1:2- He was in the beginning with God.
First, that shows, again, that he is SEPERATE from God.
Beginning referring to Creation, where Jehovah created all things thru His son ( he has anther another name before being named "Jesus"- meaning "Salvation of Jehovah" )....

What angel ('messenger') was shown extra honor?

Google Translate of יהוה depends on contextual word(s): e.g. Deuteronomy 6:4 from Hebrew to English
שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד

Repeating question about John 8:58 for @the_MadJw & @BroRando => What had the Jewish Rabbi Jesus said so Jews in the temple wanted to kill Jesus by stoning (for blasphemy per Leviticus 24:10-16) ?
John 8 has temple context for discussion between Jewish Rabbi Jesus and Jewish Religious Lawyers (Scribes & Pharisees). John 8:1-59 LEB (with Hebrew words usually translated by Jewish scholars in LXX: יהוה as Lord & אלהים as God) =>
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. Now early in the morning he came again to the temple courts. And all the people were coming, and he sat down and began to teach them.
Now the scribes and the Pharisees brought to him a woman caught in adultery. And standing her in their midst, they said to him, testing him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery! Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” (Now they were saying this to test him, so that they would have an occasion to bring charges against him.)
But Jesus, bending down, began to write with his finger on the ground, taking no notice. And when they persisted in asking him, straightening up he said to them, “The one of you without sin, let him throw the first stone at her!” And bending down again, he wrote on the ground.
Now when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, they began to depart, one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone — and the woman who was in their midst. So Jesus, straightening up and seeing no one except the woman, said to her, “Where are those accusers of yours? Does no one condemn you?”
And she said, “No one, יהוה Lord.”
So Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more.”
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world! The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
So the Pharisees said to him, “You testify concerning yourself! Your testimony is not true.”
Jesus answered and said to them, “Even if I testify concerning myself, my testimony is true, because I know where I have come from and where I am going. But you do not know where I have come from or where I am going. You judge according to externals; I do not judge anyone. But even if I judge, my judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent me. And even in your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true. I am the one who testifies concerning myself, and the Father who sent me testifies concerning me.”
So they were saying to him, “Where is your father?”
Jesus replied, “You know neither me nor my Father! If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.” He spoke these words by the treasury while teaching in the temple courts, and no one seized him, because his hour had not yet come. So he said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek me and will die in your sin. Where I am going you cannot come!”
Then the Jews began to say, “Perhaps he will kill himself, because he is saying, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’ ”
And he said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are from this world; I am not from this world. Thus I said to you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”
So they began to say to him, “Who are you?”
Jesus said to them, “What I have been saying to you from the beginning. I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but the one who sent me is true, and the things which I heard from him, these things I say to the world.” (They did not know that he was speaking to them about the Father.)
Then Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will recognize that I am he, and I do nothing from myself, but just as the Father taught me, I say these things. And the one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”
While he was saying these things, many believed in him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you continue in my word you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
They replied to him, “We are descendants of Abraham and have not been enslaved to anyone at any time. How do you say, ‘You will become free’?”
Jesus replied to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. And the slave does not remain in the household forever; the son remains forever. So if the son sets you free, you will be truly free. I know that you are descendants of Abraham. But you are seeking to kill me, because my word makes no progress among you. I speak the things that I have seen with the Father; so also you do the things that you have heard from the Father.”
They answered and said to him, “Abraham is our father!”
Jesus said to them, “If you are children of Abraham, do the deeds of Abraham! But now you are seeking to kill me, a man who spoke to you the truth which I heard from God. This Abraham did not do. You are doing the deeds of your father!”
They said to him, “We were not born from sexual immorality! We have one father, אלהים God!”
Jesus said to them, “If אלהים God were your father, you would love me, for I have come forth from אלהים God and have come. For I have not come from myself, but that one sent me. Why do you not understand my way of speaking? Because you are not able to listen to my message. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father! That one was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand firm in the truth, because truth is not in him. Whenever he speaks the lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I am telling the truth, you do not believe me. Who among you convicts me concerning sin? If I am telling the truth, why do you not believe me? The one who is from אלהים God listens to the words of אלהים God. Because of this you do not listen — because you are not of אלהים God.”
The Jews answered and said to him, “Do we not correctly say that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?”
Jesus replied, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me! But I do not seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges! Truly, truly I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never experience death forever.”
The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham and the prophets died, and you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death forever.’ You are not greater than our father Abraham who died, are you? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself to be?”
Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. The one who glorifies me is my Father, about whom you say, ‘He is our אלהים God.’ And you have not known him, but I know him. And if I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you! But I know him and I keep his word. Abraham your father rejoiced that he would see my day, and he saw it and was glad.”
So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was, I am!”
Then they picked up stones in order to throw them at him. But Jesus was hidden and went out of the temple courts.
Keep Smiling 😊
Jehovah was NEVER called " I Am", so the reference to John is pointless.
How many times does the phrase "I am Jehovah" occur in Exodus in the New World Translation ?
For example, Exodus 6:2 Then God said to Moses: "I am Jehovah."
What is the point of the Jews picking up stones to kill Jesus ? What did Jesus saying "I am" mean to the Jews in John 8:1-59 LEB ?
Keep Smiling 😊
